Pentek water filter BIG BLUE Fresh Water  filter housings in the versions 10 inch, are used in particular for large volume flows. The filter housings type Pentek BIG BLUE water filters are used to predect system components such as pumps, valves and measuring and control technology. They also serve as so-called pre-filters for the supply of water from well and cistern systems, but also in classical water treatment systems such as reverse osmosis plants and chemical and process engineering plants. The sturdy blue Pentek water filter housing of the BIG BLUE filter housing is made of polypropylene, the cap with the connections and outlet, provided with a pressure relief is made in polypropylene (HFPP). The following materials are used for water filter housings

NBR, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, also known as nitrile rubber, abbreviated AB and NBR, is a copolymer of acrylonitrile and 1,3-butadiene and is one of the synthetic rubbers. Vulcanizates of the rubber have a high resistance to mineral oils, greases and hydrocarbons. The material is marketed under the brand names Perbunan N (formerly Buna N) or Europrene N, for example.
